The 3 Best Arm Exercises For Women
As women get a little bit older, they tend to lose a lot of their muscle in their arms, and what they do have may not look as good as what it did whenever they were younger. In an effort to stop this from occurring, or perhaps to reverse what has already occurred, there are some arm exercises for women that can be done which are rather effective. The real key to doing these is to be persistent, regardless of what age you are or what your specific exercise goals happen to be. Here are the 3 best exercises that work the arms which women can do.
Most women are more concerned about their triceps than any other arm muscle, basically because the triceps do tend to sag as women get older. You can tighten up this area of the body by doing a variety of different tricep exercises, but the one we found to be most effective is the tricep pull down. This is generally done on one of the exercise machines at the gym, and you can use a variety of different attachments in order to hit the triceps differently. Remember, the tricep muscle is not a single muscle but rather, it has three heads that need to be exercised, either simultaneously or individually. By using a variety of different attachments whenever you are doing your tricep pull down, you will be able to more effectively work the muscle.
Not to be ignored whenever you are doing your arm exercises are the biceps. Regardless of how you plan on working the bicep muscles, it is going to be a curling motion that really gets the job done. Some of my favorite bicep exercises include concentration curls and preacher curls. The reasons why you would want to include these in your arm exercise workout is because you are going to isolate the bicep more effectively because the upper arm is going to be immobilized due to the nature of the exercise. The real difference between these two different bicep exercises is the fact that with preacher curls, you’re going to be using a barbell while with concentration curls, you will be working out each bicep muscle individually with dumbbells.
Finally, you should make sure that you’re working your leg muscles effectively in order to build your arms. I know this may sound strange to you, but it is a scientific fact that if you work your leg muscles hard, your arm muscles will grow. This is due to the fact that chemicals are released into your body whenever you work out hard that signal the body to grow muscle. This muscle is grown in all areas of your body, not just the legs. So if you want to get the most out of your arm exercises, make sure that you get those legs as well.
